Build with Al is a global event series aimed at enabling developers across the world to learn and build using Google’s latest artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. Generative AI is transforming how we interact with technology. Build with AI is a community-led technical workshop hosted by Google Developer Groups Charlotte (GDG Charlotte). The event is aimed at helping developers learn and apply their skills on GenAI trends and products from Google. Developers from all segments (including Backend, Android & Flutter devs) and all skill levels can benefit.

Session overview: Duet AI Inside & Out: Duets and Copilots make the world of Generative AI a developer’s sidekick to supercharge their productivity. In this session, we will walk through common use cases for integrating Generative AI into a developer’s workflow, and then we will break down how these tools works under the hood.

Session overview: A Founders Approach – Generative AI and its Impact on Startups. In this session, we will cover some of the key considerations of Generative AI from the perspective of an entrepreneur. We will cover common use cases, potential risks, and the importance of responsible AI in this scene.
Speaker Bios
Earl Gay: is a Principal Architect at Google Cloud, where he has worked for the past 5 years. Based out of Charlotte, NC, Earl is a proud alumnus of UNC Charlotte, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Day-to-day, Earl works closely with enterprise companies headquartered in the Carolinas to help design solutions around the entire Google Cloud Platform portfolio from Generative AI to Application Development and all things in between.
John Manning, MD: is a Google Developer Expert in Dart/Flutter. He is cofounder and CEO of MayJuun, a technology startup that builds novel healthcare apps in Flutter. His company created and maintains the FHIR-FLI packages that connect Flutter apps to healthcare data in FHIR®, which has been used by health tech developers worldwide. Dr. Manning practices clinically in Emergency Medicine at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C., where he teaches medical students and residents principles in emergency medicine care and clinical informatics. He specializes in live-coding software applications in front of a large audience, teaching relevant development and health tech principles while simultaneously writing code.
