EY, one of the founding Carolina Fintech Hub anchor partners, has taken an active role in developing the Fintech community in the Carolinas. Through E Y’s Charlotte wavespaceTM, recognition as an innovation leader, the annual global Entrepreneur of the Year award competition and the breadth of advisory, tax, transaction, and audit services, EY has a prominent position in the Fintech landscape.
Through one of E Y’s key awards, the Entrepreneur Of The Year@, EY celebrates unstoppable entrepreneurs who redefine the way we live, work and play. The program spans across more than 145 cities and in over 60 countries worldwide including a Southeast regional competition that awards exceptional Fintechs throughout the Carolinas. The Entrepreneur Of The Year US Awards gala •s the culminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum@, the largest gathering of entrepreneurs in America.
Additionally, EY has launched its global network of growth and innovation centers called wavespacesTM to help clients make radical breakthroughs in business transformation by tapping into innovative thinking. Opening in October 2019, the Charlotte wavespace will be located in the Rail Yard South End and will add nearly 400 new jobs focusing on skillsets that help our clients address their digital transformation needs and innovation agenda. This will create new ecosystems of opportunity between Fintechs and incumbent financial services. The wavespace will play an integral role in Charlotte’s innovation scene and will provide an opportunity for collaboration with clients and startups to develop solutions for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
